Youth Advisory Council 2020-2021
MUN Impact’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is the highest level student organization at MUN Impact. It is the voice of our global programming and undertakes three important tasks for the Organization:
- Advises the Board of Directors: YAC gives guidance and input to the MUN Impact Board of Directors,ensuring that all parts of the program are heard and that ideas, initiatives and unique needs of each program, as seen from a student’s perspective, are addressed. Students create a quarterly report that is shared with the Board. The Board, in turns, holds occasional informal meetings with YAC representatives.
2. Sets the Youth Agenda: YAC discusses and helps to set global priorities for student programming, unique initiatives and SDG Impact projects. It also works to align debate and course objectives across programs and in alignment with the United Nations calendar and significant international days.
3. Working Committee for Global Summits: YAC members will be the primary organizing body for global MUN Impact Summits. They will work to set the agenda, invite guest speakers, approve student workshops and ensure quality control, organize various working committees to oversee the execution of the event.
All members of the Youth Advisory Council are high school students and serve in their position for one year.
